Purchasing Coordinator

In Demant’s Procurement we are 33 dedicated and ambitious colleagues working in Denmark, Poland and Mexico. You will be working from our production site in Mierzyn, Poland, where you will be part of the Operational Purchasing team. 
As Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the Hardware sub-team handling the supply of mechanical, transducers and electronic components used for production and distribution around the globe. Your objective will be promoting effective team work and motivating the purchasers to excel in our goals, while keeping focus on the execution of our core processes: supplier performance, stock management, on-time material availability, and solving Supply Chain issues.

What tasks are waiting for you?
•    Supporting and motivating the team under responsibility;
•    conducting periodical meetings, annual performance reviews, and participating in the definition of your team’s development path;
•    translating upper level objectives into operational tasks and assessing performance of the team based on KPI’s;
•    coordinating activities, monitoring supplier improvement plans, logistics projects and implementing new processes;
•    working side by side with the strategic and project purchasing counterparts, as well as with coordinators from other areas within the organization (Planning, Distribution, Quality, among others).


It would be great if you:
•    have a Logistics or Economics background;
•    have worked for several years in a manufacturing company in Procurement, materials planning and/or inventory control management;
•    acted as team or project leader, or on other similar leadership positions (it will be your advantage); 
•    have strong interpersonal and communication skills that facilitate the interaction with your team and across the organization;
•    are self-driven, display a can-do attitude, value close internal & external collaboration, as well as you understand the power of an engaged team.
